Ag Day in Portales, NM

Kathy Stallings (MRNM Corporate Board Member) and I at the Ag Expo

After an exciting day spent in the Orlando airport hoping to make it home, I caught a few hours of sleep and headed off to Portales for the New Mexico Ag Expo. First I met Kathy Stallings and we took the MRNM Trailer to have a Plateau (MRNM sponsor) sign put on. The next day I pursued my latest Fund-raising effort: a Raffle for a Wooden Show Box, a Custom Leather Belt and a Signed Doreman Burns Print. So thanks to the help of Greg Smith, my Coordinator, I set up a booth to sell tickets at. Kayla Hight was my fearless companion throughout the day and helped me out so much! Thank you Kayla! I also had the opportunity to mingle and have lunch with the wonderful New Mexico Dairy Farmers. In the end I signed some autographs, did a radio interview, sold some tickets and then headed over to Miss Ashlee Stallings’ gorgeous house. Thank you so much Ashlee for your generous hospitality!!!

Silver Spurs Rodeo in Kissimmee, FL

This was quite the adventure! I had never traveled so far south, it is a different world but one that I really enjoy! Regina Roberts was a wonderful host mother and took great care of McKenzie ~ Miss Rodeo South Dakota, Chris ~ Miss Rodeo Utah, Chassity ~ Miss Rodeo Oklahoma, and I. The rodeos were action packed and the fans sure did enjoy visiting with Rodeo Queens! I can say without a doubt that I will never forget this amazing trip!

The Stockman's Ball

~ Black Hills Rodeo Queen Teri and I have good taste! ~

The Black Hills Stock Show was truly amazing! It was an action packed week for me and the other state queens. We ran sponsor flags in the Pro Rodeo, which was put on by the Sutton's and was a great show with great horses for us to all ride! We did radio interviews, were on TV, signed autographs and visited schools to promote the rodeo. In our spare time we visited Mount Rushmore and had some summertime fun at the Watiki Water Park! It was an awesome week filled with wonderful memories and great friends!

New Mexico Stampede

My little mare 'Mudd' being brave in the spotlight as we presented Old Glory

The New Mexico Stampede took off at a run in Rio Rancho, with a well run and super exciting production brought to us by Classic ProRodeo (Scotty Lovelace and Dustin Murray) and The New Mexico Rodeo Council! It was an awesome rodeo and I am so grateful that I had the privilege of being a part of the action!

Here I am adjusting helmets at the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Kids Rodeo

I carried the American Flag during the opening ceremonies each night and helped 'shag' cattle during the timed events. On Saturday, before the rodeo, I helped with the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Kids Rodeo, which was a wonderful experience and I met so many wonderful cowboys and cowgirls!
