Premier Rodeo Pageant Seminar

One of my Hero's - Brandy Whitlow (MRA'00)
Michelle (MRNe) and I preparing to learn on an early morning :)
The seminar put on by Miss Rodeo America Inc. to educate rodeo queens is something I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in becoming or already is a representative of rodeo. This seminar is open to young ladies even if they do not already hold a state title. I learned so much! There were people from PRCA, the Hall of Fame, and rodeo competitors who explained all types of rodeo knowledge, from the books to the performances. Plus professional horse and speech trainers.  Miss Rodeo America Kelli Jackson was there to help and was a wealth of information, as well as many former Miss Rodeo America Titleholders. It is a real eye opener to see all the information that is available to rodeo queens!

PRCA Hall of Fame Inductions

Posing with The Champ

The Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame is amazing! The history of Professional Rodeo is told through displays and photographs of the great men and women who have made the sport what it is today. The opportunity to witness the 2010 Class be Inducted into the Hall is an honor that I will cherish forever. Paul Mayo, John McBeth, Denny Flynn, Bennie Beutler, and Rex Dunn made up an all star cast of Inductees and each shared their rodeo experiences in a speech. They were all quite moving but I will admit that my favorite speech was given by Mr. Mayo and it is something that I don't intend to forget! It was wonderful visiting with all the supporters of Pro Rodeo and making new friends.
